Plain Pasta – The Foundation of Italian Cuisine
A dish so simple that even its name reveals everything: Pasta in Bianco, literally plain pasta. It’s perhaps the simplest pasta seasoning that exists, yet also the foundation for all the sauces that will follow. Here, the real star is butter or olive oil.
Yes, there are two different schools of thought—depending on the region in Italy, people tend to prefer butter or olive oil, and this preference has influenced even the simplest of Italian pasta dishes.

So Easy but So Delicious
All you need is butter/oil, garlic, parmesan and of course pasta. Use whatever pasta you like, long, short, smooth, rough. Use whatever you like!
I like to infuse the oil with garlic to add extra flavor. You can do the same with butter, but remember to remove the garlic once it turns golden, so it doesn’t overpower the dish.
