Like many people, I used to buy iced tea at the supermarket. But once I realized how much sugar it contains, I thought: Why not make it myself? Sure, I still add some sugar — but way less! Here’s my super quick recipe for homemade lemon and peach iced tea, a true summer essential.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

– 3 Untreated lemons Ripe, unwaxed
– 50 g Sugar (Adjust to taste)
– 500 ml Water
– 3 bags Green/white tea
– Peach Iced Tea
– 3 Peaches Ripe or slightly firm
– 50 g Sugar Adjust to taste
– 500 ml Water
– 3 bags Green tea

Instructions

Lemon Iced Tea
1. Clean lemons: Rub with salt in water to remove wax.
2. Peel lemons: Avoid bitter white pith.
3. Juice lemons: Strain to remove seeds.
4. Brew tea: Boil water with lemon peels, sugar, and tea bags (5 mins).
5. Combine: Add lemon juice, strain, and cool completely.
6. Chill: Refrigerate before serving.

Peach Iced Tea
1. Dice peaches: Cut into small cubes.
2. Simmer: Cook peaches with water, sugar, and tea bags (5 mins).
3. Strain: Remove solids and cool.
4. Chill: Refrigerate until cold.
